Role Summary

As a project lead or in collaboration with the Senior Partners and/or other members of the team, the HR Consultant/Employee is responsible for performing HR Consulting and HR-based responsibilities of various complexities, along with participation in new business development activities.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Leads projects.

  • Supports and assists the Senior Partners and other TAP Strategy consultants, clients and other partners as relevant.

  • Adheres to timelines and scope of projects, utilizing project management principles.

  • Performs outreach to clients and potential clients as required for business development.

  • Develops or assists in the development of tools, templates, guidelines and processes.

  • Liaises with clients and partners as required. Attends client meetings and/or presentations.

  • Provides direct telephone service to clients, as required, through TAP Strategy HR TAPhelpline.

    • Works with Senior Consultant(s) to monitor, evaluate and further workflow develop processes for TAP Strategy’s HR TAPhelpline.

  • Researches, writes reports and tracks information and time.

Education, Experience, Assets

  • HR designation (CHRE, CHRL, CHRP) is ideal and a very strong asset.

  • BA or other relevant degree is a strong asset.

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience.

  • Bilingualism (French & English) is a very strong asset.

  • Strong and extensive knowledge of up-to-date human resources practices, trends, and national and provincial workplace and employment legislation.

  • Other relevant education, certifications, and experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in:

    • Performing organizational reviews, encompassing concepts of organizational design and development.

    • Developing Human Resources programs and related guidelines, tools, and templates, such as performance management and development programs, needs analyses, competency architectures/frameworks, recruitment/talent acquisition, job description writing, among others.

    • Providing high-level advice and guidance for complex issues for best risk mitigation.

    • Facilitating and developing presentations, workshops, and programs.

    • HR and governance policy and report writing.
